Be Kind to Yourself
Never let anyone make you doubt yourself or make you feel like you cannot achieve your dreams...The most destructive thing you can do is to believe someone else's opinion of you.
Learning to accept yourself is more important than what others think of you.
Some people purposely plant negative thoughts into others' minds by making them feel bad about the way they look or speak to bring them down. A vicious form of mental warfare.
Which then becomes a negative thought that stays in one's head, inadvertently taking a toll on one's self esteem and progress .
You will never speak to anyone more than you speak to yourself in your head. So be kind to yourself .
The true purpose of meditation is NOT just controlling your thoughts, it's also not allowing your thoughts to control you!
We cannot change what people say to us but we can change how we let those comments affect us!
This comes with practice, through daily meditation / chanting to strengthen your self esteem, to embrace your gifts and to control your reactions and thoughts.
If you receive many compliments but just one insult - Why does that one insult stick in your consciousness more than all the compliments you receive?
Without meditation to control your thoughts , the ego gets affected easily and will then replay a negative scenario as a defense mechanism to protect you .
So, through meditation you can calm your ego by reminding yourself of all your gifts and strengths and by possibly, even using an insult as positive feedback to better oneself, wherever needed.
Meditation teaches you to follow your intuition, and teaches you to stick with your convictions after putting in the right amount of research to make that decision.
Do not allow others to deter or hinder you in any way, once you have made a big decision. Only you know your true heart’s desires and soul calling.
It's time we all use encouraging and constructive words, when we speak to others and when we speak to ourselves.
